For the final project, each student must write an original fable. Then they will present their fable to the class in one of these ways: powerpoint presentation, illustrations, or acting the story out.

Fable Topics
Over the last five weeks, we have read fables from around the world. We used these stories to help us discuss issues in the real world, such as personal strengths and weaknesses, reactions to globalization, and lying. Each fable has helped us develop our understanding of cause and effect, and the advice at the end of the story has led to critical thinking.
It is the students' choice to post their completed original fable on their blog by 8:00am, Saturday, August 27th.

Free Topic
This week the students get to choose what they will write about.
Here are some ideas we brainstormed in class:
For my free topic, I am writing about my students. My students are very creative. They always draw nice pictures on their homework and decorate their notes in class. My students also have good ideas in class. They voted to change our class time so that it was more convenient for everyone. I am looking forward to reading what they have to say because I know it will be creative too.
Here are some ideas we brainstormed in class:
- My favorite movie
- My dream
